Abstract

The adoption isn't just the satisfaction of a desire to be a father and a mother. It's about getting a father, a mother and a home to call your own. It's the joy of being part of a family. This research aims to analyze the adoption of black minors in view of the Statute of Children and Adolescents. The methodology used was a bibliographic search, realized in jurisprudential, doctrinal sources and also scientific texts made available on the internet. Every child and adolescent has the right to have a home and a family that welcomes, cares for, and provides them with: education, leisure, health, housing, food and socialization. However, it is observed that black children and adolescents who are outside the Family Power, are often denied these rights. Prejudice and racism have defined the future of many children and adolescents. Perceive that a list of applicants for adoption is larger than the children to be adopted. In this context, the question arises: Why? What's the problem? It is concluded that the biggest problem is prejudice and racism. Many children and adolescents living in shelters are suffering because of the color of their skin or race, leaving a disappointment in their lives. What should be relevant for a couple to choose a child or adolescent should be empathy, affection and a desire to love above color or race, and thus be able to form the long-dreamed family.
