ANÁLISE DA RELAÇÃO ENTRE A FUNÇÃO ESTRUTURAL DO SISTEMA PENAL E A SUPEREXPLORAÇÃO DO TRABALHO NO SISTEMA CAPITALISTA

Abstract

The present work aims to analyze the relationship of the structural function of the penal system and the overexploitation of labor in the capitalist system, as well as to understand, from a historical perspective, the impacts of the evolution of this system in society. The method used was qualitative, developed from an interdisciplinary perspective of critical criminology involving authors of criminology and sociology. The theme is addressed throughout three chapters that bring from the historical analysis of the penalty, the function and formation of the penal system, the consequences of the exploitation of work and the effects of the system itself on social reality, focusing on the classist and racist selectivity of the system. Throughout this, we sought to relate the situations to the scenario of Brazil as a peripheral capitalist society.It was possible to conclude that there is the relationship mentioned, as well as the whole structure seeks to reinforce the manipulation of subjects through the exploitation of work while they use superincarceration and the penal system as a tool to punish those who are not productive or even allowed to be disciplined, becoming unwanted, which reinforces the characteristics of the capitalist system.
