TRATADOS INTERNACIONAIS SOBRE OS DIREITOS DA MULHER

Abstract

Following the creation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948, a protection for individuals was established, safeguarding them basic rights and guarantees. However, it is relevant to note the violation of these same rights with regard to women in the international sphere and its consequences, for a number of discriminatory reasons. The guard against these guarantees is of paramount importance, since they are intended for all regardless of sex, after all, all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. And women are inserted in this context and should be treated and seen equally, both internationally and in other spheres. In order for women to acquire their currently known rights, several documents were required for formalization at International levels, to ensure and enjoy their rights. The purpose of this article is to discuss the rights of women in international treaties, and whether or not these have been fulfilled and what are the consequences of compliance or not for women in general, prioritizing the international level, but reflecting other spaces. To this end, scientific articles and expert texts commenting on this topic were observed. The methodology used was Bibliographic Research and consultation of works with themes related to this context.
