LEI MARIA DA PENHA, DA REPRESENTAÇÃO A RETRATAÇÃO: Análise dos casos remetidos pela Delegacia de Polícia Civil, no município de Inhumas-GO, no ano de 2022

Abstract

With a thorough analysis of the facts described in Maria da Penha's records, it is seen that the facts, and the way in which they unfold, are similar, therefore, these similarities were compiled in this article, which extends from the beginning of the relationship to the record of the violence suffered, at the police station and, so to speak, the withdrawal of the victims. One of the reasons that may lead a victim to retract a complaint is a lack of knowledge of the law. Many seek registration, however, this does not allow or makes it difficult for the necessary measures to be taken. Another reason is dependence, which leads them to give up the procedure, as there are countless victims who are financially and emotionally dependent on the aggressors. Most live in the same residence as the author, regardless of their marital status. Others are not willing to distance themselves from their attacker, due to the fact that he is the father of their children and is the only provider in the home. There are also those who suffer violence in the workplace, however, they cannot use their work, their only source of income. Given this, when faced with the desired end, such as the restrictions listed in the protective measure, which consists of leaving the residence and socializing with the perpetrator, many victims give up and recant.
