Abstract

The increase in women victims of domestic violence in Brazil during the coronavirus pandemic was huge, understanding the impact of the Maria da Penha Law in this scenario and the impacts of this social isolation led to interest in the written topic. This article is a bibliographical research and documentary analysis regarding the issue of domestic violence against women, taking into account the period of socialisolation resulting from the coronavirus pandemic as a time frame. To contain the spread of the disease, everyone found themselves in isolation, in their homes and with as little contact as possible with other people, which becomes a problem when considering the scenario of domestic violence where victims found themselves in isolation with their loved ones. aggressors, further enhancing and diversifying the types of aggression.
