Abstract:
The present study aims at the study of rural retirement and its main aspects in Brazilian
legislation. Initially, a basic and conceptual analysis was carried out on the social
security system in Brazil, which covers social security and social assistance. The social
security system was analyzed in the light of the principle of solidarity, as was an
exposition about social security in Brazil. Next, general considerations about the
insured were considered, considered in its broader view, in which the employee
insured, the domestic employee, the single insured individual, and the individual
insured were seconded. The issues related, in a specific way, to the rural worker were
analyzed. The main categories of rural workers were identified, notably the rural
employee, the individual rural taxpayer and the special insured. The lines
characterizing the predictions of forms of contribution were outstanding. Finally, the
theme of the present study was highlighted, when the issues related to retirement by
age of these individuals were addressed.
