Abstract:
The present work refers to an aquatic sport, Biribol. Having as general objective to
present the sport modality and to establish a proposal to include deaf people in leisure
and recreation. The methods used for this research were the qualitative, descriptive
approach through bibliographic references, hypothetical-deductive, bibliographic
review and questionnaire as an instrument of data collection. With this research, we
came to the conclusion that Biribol is still a little known sport and is not part of the
sports practiced in most schools due to the lack of structure and material resources.
We conclude by pointing out the need for the inclusion of Biribol in schools and sports,
together with the necessary adaptations in signaling so that the deaf can enjoy the
sport as much as the listeners.
