Abstract:
The present work, which was carried out based on the inductive method, aims to show,
analyze and contemplate on the impacts that the workers' unions suffered after the labor
reform, promulgated in 2017 by law 13.467 / 17, especially with regard to union contribution.
This work presents and analyzes the union history and its development in Brazil, the
struggles and achievements that occurred over several years, and the union weakening after
the enactment of the labor reform, as well as its consequences. Its purpose is to demonstrate
that unionization was a social right that protected the employee and employer, and that
through union practices, many rights were guaranteed and acquired. It consists of three
chapters, the first of which highlights the general aspects of unionism, the general history
and history in Brazil; the second portrays the union structure in Brazil and the weakening of
the union, and the third chapter deals with labor reform and the union situation in a
post-reform scenario.
