Abstract:
The present work presents the main problems faced by women at all times, and
especially today, and with the promulgation of Law 13.104/2015, bringing hope for
better days, as public policies seek to prevent and protect women in situations of
vulnerability. The main objective of this work is to present the Feminicide Law as a
solution to conflicts and social problems, and to understand the importance of social
unity for public policies to find effective means to guarantee the rights of the entire
population. In order to carry out this work, several books by renowned scholars and
research in the Laws and the Federal Constitution were used, emphasizing the main
questions on the subject, with more satisfactory answers. The work addresses the
concepts of violence and public policies, the effectiveness of the Feminicide Law and
its ineffectiveness for the transsexual, it presents the main types of feminicide. Finally,
it points out the effectiveness of public policies, such as prevention, protection and
punishment against femicide.
