Abstract:
The present work aims to analyze the changes introduced in Law no. 8.213, of July 17, 1991, before the Law (13.135, 17 June 2015, because of the conversion of Provisional Measure no. 664, 30 December 2014. In particular, the new rules for the granting of the benefit of pension for death. Presenting the changes introduced in the rules above, considering the stiffening of the requirements, especially when the recipient of the benefit is the spouse or the companion (the). The importance of the present study is due to the concern to reduce the imbalance of the accounts of the General Regime of Social security. Considering also the cost that represents the benefit of pension for death of the General Scheme of Social security and how Social security can save with the introduction of the new requirements for the granting of the benefit, also featuring when the benefit ceases, the insured and the dependent, highlighting the innovations and setbacks before this benefit.
