Abstract:
School management, perspectives, and challenges for social quality. This research has as a general objective to analyze school management in the context of management concepts and its educational purposes in the 21st century, as specific goals to characterize school management in the context of neoliberal education, identify the concepts of organization and school management, and finally develop reflections that reveal the educational purposes advocated by public educational policies for school management. This research was chosen as problematic: What is the meaning of educational policies given to school management? To carry out this work, bibliographic research was carried out based on scientific publications in school management. This work concluded that educational policies make it impossible for participatory democratic management to happen, making it impossible to offer social quality education that contributes to the emancipation of subjects.
