Abstract:
The present work intends to analyze the social and legal repercussions of the criminalization of abortion in Brazil, based on a gender analysis. For that, through bibliographic methodologies it makes a chronology from criminalization to current legislation. Through systematic literature reviews and bibliographic studies on the consequences of legalizing abortion, with emphasis on women's health, we can conclude that the permanence of criminalization is present in Brazil due to the maintenance of male domination over the female body.
