Abstract:
The present work has the purpose of analyzing the Brazilian legal support, concerning the different forms of families. Currently, there are several models of families, different from the traditional one we know, father and mother. Over time, they are increasingly adapting to new formats, which are far from the traditional. With this, numerous problems have arisen in relation to the regularization of father and mother, where we constantly hear the popular saying “father and mother create”, however, in practice it does not work that way. When the time comes to exercise the rights and duties of a father and a mother, what is stated in the birth certificate is valid. Due to this and other problems, socio-affective recognition emerged, in order to regularize the rights and duties between parents and children.
