Abstract:
Introduction. Pressure Injuries (LPP) are changes in the skin and sometimes underlying tissues caused by frictional forces and associated conditions. With the emergence of the new coronavirus, the subject's clinical conditions worsen and the prone position presents effective results in reducing hypoxemia and mortality rates. Therefore, scientific research and instruments for the assessment of PPL in patients undergoing pronation with Covid-19 in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are necessary for the development and implementation of effective actions, updating and improving care, providing greater safety and quality of life to the patient. Goal. Structuring and validating an instrument to assess PPL in patients undergoing pronation, in an ICU, using the Covid-19 approach. Methodology. Quantitative research, with a concomitant transformative strategy, containing four stages, carried out in a municipal hospital, in the interior of the state of Goiás, with 6 professional nurses (ICU), under the approval of the Research Ethics Committee (CEP), Opinion No. 4955820, from July to October 2021. Results and discussion. The results show that 80% of the evaluators are female, 83.3% are under 34 years of age, with an average experience of 3.8 years. The Content Validation Index (IVC) presented a percentage of 1.0. Final considerations. Therefore, this percentage consolidates the instrument as practical and objective, with quick completion, contributing to an efficient assessment and effective treatment.
