Abstract:
Objective: To identify the role and difficulties of nurses in cases of child sexual
abuse. Method: This is an Integrative Review, carried out in April and May 2022, the
study included publications of scientific articles, selected and published in the period
from 2017 to 2022, available electronically in full text, in Portuguese, English and
Spanish in the aforementioned BVS (Virtual Health Library), Scientific Electronic
Library (SciELO) and PUBMED (International Literature in Health Sciences)
databases. Result: A total of 11 articles were part of this study, which were analyzed
critically and impartially. Conclusion: The lack of training of nurses in cases of child
sexual abuse negligence in the care of children and adolescents. The lack of
preparation for the recognition, care and notification of cases of violence perpetuates
underreporting, which makes it difficult to protect victims.
