Abstract:
This research developed within the scope of the Postgraduate Program in Education - Academic Master's Degree at Faculdade de Inhumas FacMais, in the line of research Education, Culture, Theories and Pedagogical Processes, addresses the theme of neoliberalism and its influences on the evaluation process in public education in the Goias state. Therefore, the question that guided this research was: what are the consequences of the evaluation process of neoliberal orientation based on results for the school, for the teachers and for the students? Therefore, the general objective of this study proposes to analyze the historical, economic and ideology of neoliberal policies and their influences and consequences for basic education in the state of Goiás. The specific objectives are: to investigate the political, historical, ideological and economic conceptions of neoliberalism and its repercussions in Brazil; to discuss the repercussions of neoliberal policies in the Brazilian educational context, in the reference curriculum of the state of Goiás and in the projects to be implemented in schools; and, to analyze the impacts of neoliberal policies in the evaluation process based on results and the consequences for the school, for teachers and students of basic education in the state of Goiás. Regarding the methodological processes, this work is based on a bibliographic and documentary research. The data analysis will be in a qualitative approach in the perspective that approaches the dialectical historical materialism, with the elaboration of categories of analysis that contemplate the objectives proposed for this research. Having as main theoretical references Chaui (2003; 1982; 1980); Freitas (2012a; 2012b); Libâneo (2012); Frigotto (2005); Harvey (1993; 2004); Pessoa (2017), among others. After the end of this research, it was found that in the State of Goiás, following the neoliberal ideals, there was the implementation of curricula and external evaluations in order to guarantee a satisfactory result for the indices imposed by the market. Roughly speaking, it was observed that this caused a considerable demand for the network teachers, since they must prepare the student to be a qualified citizen and able to insert himself in the demands and interests of the market and of the organisms. The blame for the negative ratings indices tends to be just the fault of teachers and students and this exempts the responsibility of public policies that instead of offering support to schools, just wait for success and quality.
