Abstract:
The maxillary first premolar has a highly variable morphological configuration. Thus,
understanding the anatomy of human teeth and the use of specific endodontic
instruments are essential to carry out the idealized endodontic planning. The present
study reports the phases of the endodontic treatment of a clinical case of an upper
premolar with three roots and three root canals with the presence of symptomatic
apical periodontitis. The treatment was performed with a minimally invasive file
system (TruNatomy™), allowing the preservation of root dentin.
