Abstract:
Humanity experienced one of the most challenging moments in its history with the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, and with that, the increase in concerns, uncertainties and fear increased significantly, and, therefore, expanded anxiety disorders in the lives of adults. The objective of this work is to research, describe and understand the relationship between the impacts experienced by adults in their personal and professional lives and the increase in anxiety disorders in the post-pandemic world, through bibliographical research. From the research surveyed, it is clear that the change in routine caused by the pandemic brought fear, despair and panic, impairing the quality of life of adults and, consequently, increasing cases of anxiety disorders.
