Abstract:
Since the dawn of time, horses have been used by man as an assistant, runner, and
even a loader, where maximum performance is required from the animal, and this
reality is no different in athletics. Athletic horses are found all over the world, making
them celebrities. However, there is a cost and rules to be complied with by its owner
or partner and even institutions so that the athletic animal is cared for and protected.
The characteristics of horses associated with their athletic success, as well as the
practice of different high-performance exercises that influence their well-being are the
north for the development of this work. The general objective is to analyze the
measures that can be taken so that the well-being of high-performance athlete
animals is seen as a priority.
