Abstract:
Objective: To show how nursing care should be provided to women who suffer sexual
violence. Methodology: The present study is an integrative literature review, through
bibliographic survey in electronic material. Results: In order to provide adequate care welcoming and assisting the victims, health care must be provided immediately and
preferably by a multidisciplinary team, the training of these professionals is essential
to improve the reception and health care of the victims of sexual violence Conclusion:
Women who suffer this abuse need comprehensive and humanized care, provided by
a multidisciplinary team duly trained to meet their needs, offering an environment in
which they feel safe and free from any prejudice.
