Abstract:
Violence erodes society and more closely within Brazilian households, the first place where a woman is considered to be a "fragile sex" has suffered verbal, psychological, moral, patrimonial, sexual and physical aggression, often resulting in death. Domestic violence is the greatest motivator of these cases in our country, caused by machismo, gender inequality, history of our society and even by the lack of more severe legislation than before, although we should not associate a possible decrease only in the legal framework, since before that the right to equality must be recognized, regardless of gender, color, race, education, or financial condition. Therefore, in this work we will limit ourselves to discussing "Domestic Violence: Feminicide and Its Social Consequences", as well as the benefits brought by the legislation that deals with this issue. It is also intended to demonstrate the consequences left by the violence suffered, both for those who occupy the passive pole and the active pole in the process of aggression.
