Abstract:
Mammary neoplasms dog females are common nodules in fertile females, which may
be directly related to the indiscriminate use of hormonal contraceptives. This disease
directly affects the mammary glands and the animal's survival. For diagnosis, a
physical examination and additional tests are necessary. Treatment in most cases
consists of surgical intervention followed by chemotherapy treatment. In this work, a
case report of a patient treated at the Veterinary School Clinic of the Faculty of Inhumas
- FacMais was presented. The patient was a mixed breed dog, 14 years old, weighing
7,300 kg, with no previous medical history and residing in the city of Trindade/GO. This
female had a neoplasm that covered the mammary glands in the inguinal and left
caudal abdominal regions, having undergone breast lumpectomy and
ovariosalpingohysterectomy.
