Abstract:
This study focuses on assessing the knowledge of Physical Education teachers regarding
exercise prescription for patients with diabetes mellitus. Through surveys, literature reviews,
workshops, and training methodologies, the aim was to identify gaps in the understanding of
these professionals. While many possess a comprehensive understanding of various
exercise modalities, certain gaps persist, such as individualizing prescriptions and
understanding the interaction between exercises and medications. Recognizing the
importance of personalized exercise programs, continuous education, and interdisciplinary
collaboration, this research seeks to enhance the training and practice of Physical Education
professionals, aiming to promote health and prevent complications associated with diabetes.
