dc.description.abstract	This study aims to analyze the (in)effectiveness of the urgent protective measures established by the Maria da Penha Law (Law No. 11,340/2006), seeking to understand how they have been applied and whether they truly fulfill their role in ensuring thesafety, support, and dignity of women who face the harsh reality of domestic and family violence. The research was developed through a qualitative approach, based on doctrinal and legislative studies, as well as official data that reveal, behind the numbers, stories of pain, courage, and resistance from thousands of Brazilian women. More than a legal study, this work constitutes an invitation to reflect on a human and social issue that spans generations. The Maria da Penha Law represents a milestone in the fight for women's rights, but its effectiveness goes beyond what is written in the statute: it depends on empathy, sensitivity, and commitment from society as a whole. Protecting a woman is more than enforcing a law; it is recognizing her worth, her voice, and her right to live without fear. It is concluded that, although urgent protective measures are essential instruments, challenges in their implementation persist, marked by a lack of structure, delays in proceedings, and the absence of more humane and integrated follow-up. Only with unity, responsibility, and a sensitive perspective will it be possible to transform the Maria da Penha Law into a true instrument of liberation and hope, ensuring that every woman can rebuild her life with respect, safety, and freedom.	pt_BR

dc.description.resumo	Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a (in)eficácia das medidas protetivas de urgência previstas na Lei Maria da Penha (Lei nº 11.340/2006), buscando compreender de que forma elas têm sido aplicadas e se realmente cumprem o papel de garantir a segurança, o acolhimento e a dignidade das mulheres que enfrentam a dura realidade da violência doméstica e familiar. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida a partir de uma abordagem qualitativa, baseada em estudos doutrinários, legislativos e em dados oficiais que revelam, por trás dos números, histórias de dor, coragem e resistência de milhares de mulheres brasileiras. Mais do que um estudo jurídico, este trabalho é um convite à reflexão sobre um problema humano e social que atravessa gerações. A Lei Maria da Penha representa um marco na luta pelos direitos das mulheres, mas sua efetividade vai além do que está escrito na lei: depende de empatia, sensibilidade e compromisso de toda a sociedade. Proteger uma mulher é mais do que aplicar uma lei; é reconhecer seu valor, sua voz e seu direito de viver sem medo. Conclui-se que, embora as medidas protetivas sejam instrumentos essenciais, ainda há desafios em sua aplicação, marcados pela falta de estrutura, pela lentidão dos processos e pela ausência de um acompanhamento mais humano e integrado. Somente com união, responsabilidade e olhar sensível será possível transformar a Lei Maria da Penha em um verdadeiro instrumento de libertação e esperança, garantindo que cada mulher possa reconstruir sua vida com respeito, segurança e liberdade.	pt_BR
