Abstract:
This study aimed to evaluate the mechanical control of Siltac® and its combination with
a sublethal dose of the insecticide acetamiprid + fenpropathrin (Bold®) on the rice grain
stink bug (O. poecilus). The study evaluated the effectiveness of mechanical control
promoted by Siltac® and its combination with a sublethal dose of the insecticide Bold®
(acetamiprid + fenpropathrin) in the management of the stink bug Oebalus poecilus, an
important pest of rice crops. The treatments were applied under controlled conditions,
and the effects on insect mortality and behavior were monitored. The results indicated
that the isolated use of Siltac® already promotes a relevant physical effect, and its
combination with Bold® enhances the control efficiency, offering a viable alternative for
integrated pest management (IPM) programs with less environmental impact.
