Abstract:
This study explores the causes of tracheal collapse in dogs. A qualitative review of
15 veterinary books and articles showed cartilage degeneration as the main
pathological process, with obesity as an aggravating factor. Consensus is partial, and
the primary cause remains undefined, highlighting the need for genetic studies and
improved diagnostics.
