dc.description.abstract	This study aims to present the real situation faced by the transgender people in the job market as well as analyze the jurisprudence aimed at defending the rights of these people. Specific objectives are: to address historical points about sexual diversity in society; to unravel beliefs and myths by informing; to present the importance of the appearance of movements in defense of the rights of homosexuals and transgender; to analyze anti-discriminatory laws. It is taken into account that the information and study about the human sexual diversity, as well as its relation with society and the legal dispositions on such issue, may decrease the indices of prejudiced acts. Thus, it is expected to contribute to the awareness of the rights that these individuals can enjoy, in view of the fight for their right to a dignified life. It is concluded that there have been great achievements in transgender labor rights, but there is still much to fight in order to achieve their so much-dreamed-of equality and fraternity.	pt_BR

dc.description.resumo	Este estudo objetiva apresentar a real situação enfrentada pelos transgêneros no mercado de trabalho bem como analisar a jurisprudência voltada à defesa dos direitos dessas pessoas. Os objetivos específicos são: abordar pontos históricos acerca da diversidade sexual na sociedade; derrubar crenças e mitos por meio do conhecimento; apresentar a importância do surgimento dos movimentos em defesa dos direitos dos homossexuais e transgêneros; uma análise das tutelas antidiscriminatórias. Leva-se em consideração que a informação e estudo sobre a diversidade sexual humana, bem como sua relação com a sociedade e as disposições legais sobre tal assunto, possa diminuir os índices de atos preconceituosos. Dessa forma, espera-se contribuir para a conscientização dos direitos que esses indivíduos podem usufruir, tendo em vista a busca por uma vida digna. Conclui-se que houve grandes conquistas nos direitos trabalhistas dos transgêneros, mas que há ainda muito no que lutar de modo a conquistar a tão sonhada igualdade e fraternidade.	pt_BR
