Abstract:
The management of dairy cattle is extremely important for the maintenance of rural
producers in this market which is constantly more competitive. From this point of
view, the objective of this study is to understand the difficulties of rural producers
regarding costs of dairy cattle on their properties where, initially, a bibliographic
research was carried out aiming at pointing out concepts of the cost of production
in the cattle, after which, descriptive research was carried out by means of a
questionnaire applied to 28 rural producers of the region. It was found that most
participating farmers consider the administration of milk producing costs very
important, but due to lack of knowledge and means of management, most of them do
not control costs or do not even have any means of cost control concerning the
production of milk on their property.
