Abstract:
The present work has as its theme the importance of literature in early childhood education. Where the objective is to analyze through bibliographical study the importance of literature in the formation of new readers in Early Childhood Education. It also proposes to examine how the relationship between literature and child development in the Early Childhood Education stage has been constructed throughout the socio-historical context, and how teachers can contribute to the child's integral development. Children's contact with literature is considered essential for their formation as a future reader. It consists of yet another effort to reconstruct knowledge about perceptions and learning in early childhood, which are closely linked to imaginative and creative abilities and intends to contribute to the understanding of certain parameters that guided the process of understanding development imagination of the child in early childhood and its relationship with the process of teaching, learning and development in Early Childhood Education. Therefore, in this paper, we will present the importance of literature for the development of a readership and its contribution to the formation of readers with a critical sense, valuing its importance in contributing to the emotional development of children.
