Abstract:
Introduction. In view of the Covid-19 and Sepsis pandemic, the health sector faces a great and regrettable public health problem due to the high incidence rate of mortality in the Intensive Care Units (ICU). The increase in mortality is mainly caused by septic shock, which is characterized by a state of circulatory hypoperfusion associated with systemic infection. Covid-19 and Sepsis present complications in the body, such as hyperinflammatory responses, immunosuppression and hypovolemia, which can lead to various changes in the patient's body and lead to death. Goal. Describe and discuss nursing interventions in view of the early identification of sepsis in patients with Covid-19. Methodology. It is a qualitative approach to identify productions on the theme "Nurse Competences in the Early Identification of Sepsis in Patients Affected with Covid-19", developed between the years 2011 to 2021. An integrative review of the literature through bibliographic survey in online electronic material Results indicate that Covid-19 was literally associated with Sepsis, which justifies that deaths in the ICU are closely related by viral sepsis Conclusion The need for training actions and the introduction of protocols that can guide and improve preventive actions, optimize diagnosis and treatment in individuals affected by sepsis, which can influence the decrease in mortality.
