O PAPEL DO FARMACÊUTICO NO SISTEMA ÚNICO DE SAÚDE EM MEIO A PANDEMIA DO CORONAVÍRUS

Abstract

Introduction: The main responsible for the control, research, combat and treatment of the disease is the SUS, in the face of COVID-19 it was no different. Pharmacists play an important role in SUS. Objective: The present work sought to understand the role of the pharmacist during the coronavirus pandemic. Methodology: In the literary review, articles in portuguese and english were used that presented in their discussion considerations about the role of the pharmacist in the unified health system in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Results and Discussion: Pharmacists played a fundamental role in combating and controlling the disease, in addition, the pharmacist had a great opportunity to show society the importance of their work, from the drug dispensing process to the management of the supply chain. supplies from large hospitals, he had the opportunity to show his experience and contributed to the care of these patients. Conclusion: Through the synthesis of the literature, it was possible to verify the activities related to the pharmacist's functions on the front line in the fight against COVID-19, their role in the control and prevention of the pandemic.
