Abstract:
Throughout the work, a research was carried out to reach conflicting data that aim,
from a search to have access to information about the amount of violence against the
LGBTQIA+ population, focusing on those that resulted in death, thus having an
analysis data on the reasons for such homicides and suicides. The objectives of the
research were to analyze data at the national level on the impacts in which there was
an increase in violence, being it homicide and suicide, in the Public Security forum.
The research method is a field study combined with a literature review. The results
obtained were that such violence in all states and regions varies from year to year. In
view of this, the conclusions are that in the year 2018/2019 before and 2020/2021
after the pandemic, the scenario changed in a significant percentage according to the
data obtained.
