Abstract:
Of great relevance in the area of law, the issue of adoption by same-sex couples has gained national prominence. This monograph aims to understand the modality of adoption performed by same-sex couples. In this context, it will be reported from the historical evolution of the family that has undergone major changes over time, in addition to the evolution of adoption and how the procedure is performed. Finally, it will be addressed about discrimination in homosexual adoption in Brazil and will analyze the psychological feasibility of adoption by people of the same sex and the social discrimination they still face today.
