Abstract:
Since antiquity, primitive peoples used manipulated products seeking the cure
for their illnesses, since then, the masterful pharmacy has been growing and
evolving more and more. However, with this growth, the lack of effective and
rigorous quality control brings with it problems in its processes and,
consequently, in the formulations. The present work, through a literature review
in databases such as Google Academico and PUBMED, articles, books, among
others, sought to understand the applications and how quality control works in
these establishments in the period from 2012 to 2022. It was observed that
problems related to dosage, contamination, among others, are constantly
identified in magistral preparations, which highlights the importance and need to
implement increasingly robust quality control methods in these establishments.
