Abstract:
The main objective of this paper is to show how the resocialization process
works in our country and how the penitentiaries are acting with prisoners in
reeducation, to make them leave the prison better to society and do not commit
recidivism. Initially, this research makes a brief history of human rights and their
evolution. It also will show the evolution of the prison system and the rights of
reeducation, which has had great changes over the years, as well as the situation of
Brazilian penitentiaries, and what are the measures used for the resocialization and
human rights of those who are in serving time.
