Abstract:
The work aimed to understand the role of musicalization as a facilitating pedagogical
instrument in children´ learning. The problematization from which the research starts is:
how to use music in the classroom practice?The method chosen in the work is the
bibliographical research. The main results found indicate that the Brazilian Educational
Legislation shows us the challenges of Music Education, such as the Law of Guidelines
and Bases of National Education, Federal Law n 11.769/2008 and the National Common
Curricular Base. It was noticed that the study of music is an educational element and
that musical training supports the psychic and emotional development of children and
the importance of using popular music in musical educational practices in the school
context. It is concluded that music in Early Childhood Education offers countless
possibilities for the child’s learning so that they can develop in various aspects, from
cognitive, emotional or artistic. It also points to the need for initial and continuing training
of academic- professionals that enhance learning for professional performance in this
sense.
