Abstract:
This present work aims to present a research on the significant increase of
depression in religious leaders in the pastoral service in the scope of their
ecclesiastical exercise. The illness of these leaders is notorious due to the overload
of services performed in their community, as there is a huge increase in cases of
depression among evangelicals. This paper will briefly present criteria on depression
with a scientific basis and discuss its possible causes and the importance of taking
care of mental health.
