dc.description.abstract	Law 11,340 of 2006 established differentiated criminal protection for women victims of domestic violence. This law has multiple faces, its constitutionality being undeniable, as it is intended to prove through this work and its diverse applicability, where the Law currently has been curbing actions of domestic violence, applying to both men and women who attack their partner, as well as among other family members. It can be said that the Maria Da Penha Law presents an advance in relation to legislated Civil Law and in line with the current doctrinal and jurisprudential discussion. Its general objective is to evaluate Law No. 11,340/06 known as the Maria Da Penha Law. The objectives are to research the social assumptions that lead to the promulgation of Law 11,340/06; investigate the applicability of Law No. 11340/06; debate the constitutionality of Law 11340/06. The Maria Da Penha Law was enacted with the aim of resolving domestic violence primarily against women, but today it is known that it applies much further, and can protect any of the spouses or other family members.	pt_BR

dc.description.resumo	A Lei 11.340 de 2006 instituiu uma proteção penal diferenciada para mulheres vitimas de violência domestica. Está lei apresenta múltiplas faces, sendo inegável sua constitucionalidade, conforme se pretende comprovar através deste trabalho e por sua diversa aplicabilidade, onde a Lei atualmente vem coibindo ações de violência domestica, se aplicando tanto para o homem como para a mulher que agride o companheiro, como ainda entre outros familiares. Pode-se dizer que a Lei Maria Da Penha apresenta um avanço em relação ao Direito Civil legislado e em consonância com a atual discussão doutrinaria e jurisprudencial. Apresenta como objetivo geral avaliar a Lei n° 11.340/06 conhecida como Lei Maria Da Penha. E como objetivos pesquisar os pressupostos sociais que levam á promulgação da Lei 11.340/06; investigar a aplicabilidade da Lei n° 11340/06; debater a constitucionalidade da Lei 11340/06. A Lei Maria Da Penha foi promulgada com intuito de dirimir a violência domestica primeiramente contra a mulher, mas hoje já se sabe que ela se aplica muito além, podendo vir a proteger qualquer um dos cônjuges, ou outros familiares.	pt_BR
