dc.description.abstract	Childhood cancer is a disease that affects not only the child, but also their entire family. Diagnosis and treatment can have a significant emotional impact, such as fear, anxiety, sadness and hopelessness. In this context, the role of the hospital psychologist becomes essential to support the child and family throughout the process. This study aims to analyze the contribution of hospital psychologists in helping children and their families experience cancer, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary work and a patient- and family-centered approach. Through a literature review, the main practices and instructions developed by the hospital psychologist will be presented, as well as the results obtained in relation to the emotional well-being and quality of life of the child and their family. This work is expected to highlight the importance of the role of the hospital psychologist in the comprehensive and humanized care of children with cancer and their families.	pt_BR

dc.description.resumo	O câncer infantil é uma doença que afeta não só a criança, mas também toda a sua família. O diagnóstico e o tratamento podem gerar um impacto emocional significativo, como medo, ansiedade, tristeza e desesperança. Nesse contexto, a atuação do psicólogo hospitalar se torna fundamental para apoiar a criança e a família durante todo o processo. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a contribuição do psicólogo hospitalar no auxílio à criança e sua família na vivência do câncer, destacando a importância da atuação interdisciplinar e da abordagem centrada no paciente e na família. Através de uma revisão da literatura, serão apresentadas as principais práticas e instruções desenvolvidas pelo psicólogo hospitalar, bem como os resultados obtidos em relação ao bem-estar emocional e qualidade de vida da criança e sua família. Espera-se, com este trabalho, evidenciar a importância da atuação do psicólogo hospitalar no cuidado integral e humanizado da criança com câncer e sua família.	pt_BR
