Abstract:
Pulp changes can be caused by several factors, such as tooth decay, trauma,
infections and even aging. When the pulp is affected, it can result in severe pain,
sensitivity and, in more serious cases, the need for endodontic treatment.
Endodontic therapy in the treatment of changes in the dental pulp has become
efficient and promising, studies and technologies linked to treatment seek better results and lower failure rates. For a long time, stainless steel alloys were used,
presenting disadvantages to their properties and characteristics, with greater rigidity,
causing fractures of the instrument. With the advancement of technology in
endodontics, Ni-Ti alloys were introduced, resistant and with more work resources,
facilitating and improving the treatment results. endodontic. Considering that the
success of endodontic treatment is related to knowledge of the instruments that are
used during the root canal sanitation process, it is of fundamental importance to
carry out studies on the innovations and technological developments of the alloys
that make up endodontic instruments.
