Abstract:
Introduction: The nurse plays a crucial role in the management of dressing rooms in
UBS, being responsible for the assessment, diagnosis and planning of wound
treatment. In addition, he coordinates the nursing team, ensures the adequacy of
resources and procedures, and promotes the safety and effectiveness of care offered
to patients. Objective: to analyze the management of nursing professionals in the
management of the dressing room at UBS. Method: The study consists of an
integrative review, conducted in databases such as VHL, LILACS, IBECS, BDENF,
MEDLINE and CUMED. The inclusion criteria were articles that answered the
problem question and the exclusion criteria were those that did not address the
proposed theme, using original articles published between 2017 and 2024, in
Portuguese, English and Spanish. Results: The study highlights the importance of
holistic management by nurses in the PHC dressing room, highlighting the
challenges faced during management. The nurse's role is crucial in ensuring
adequate resources, access to health services and clear communication with
patients. Discussion: Despite the challenges, the nurse's work in the dressing room
is essential for public health. With a holistic approach and adequate support, these
professionals can make a difference in the quality of care and promoting the health of
the population. Final considerations: The research highlights the crucial role of
nurses in managing dressing rooms in PHC, facing challenges such as infrastructure
and resources, and suggests the need for more studies and training to improve the
quality of care and public health in Brazil.
