Abstract:
Also known by the name of marijuana, Cannabis sativa was already present in the hown that Cannabidiol is a substance extracted from Cannabis that has several active substances known as cannabinoids, which activate receptors in the human brain in different ways. The objective of this study is to carry out a current bibliographical survey of drug therapies for the use of CBD in children quality of life. The methodology used is an integrative review characterized by a systematic, secondary, comprehensive methodological approach. Studies have shown that Cannabidiol has contributed as an alternative therapy for patients with ASD. New studies have shown the existence of the endocannabinoid system in the human body, which activates specific receptors in the brain. In this work, it was possible to verify the effectiveness of cannabidiol as a treatment for ASD comorbidities, presenting behavioral, clinical and psychological improvements in autistic people, presenting mild adverse effects of the component, demonstrating it as a promising treatment. The benefits of CBD are promising, but further studies are needed to understand its legalization, ethical issues, mechanisms of action, medication dosage and its rational use to ensure scientifically based treatment and therapeutic potential.
