Abstract:
The phenomenon of violence between men and women is something historical, and it happens when there is a relationship of unequal power between them. The data related to domestic violence suffered by women are alarming. Considering that violence against women is an increasingly visible theme, it is essential to identify scientific approaches pertinent to this theme. This study aimed to analyze the role of nurses in the reception of women victims of domestic violence. This study comprises an integrative review. The strategy used for the selection of articles was conducted through research through search in indexed sources in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) database: Lilacs, Scielo and PubMed. In order to obtain a general overview of the findings related to violence against women, an analysis of the scientific articles published by the VHL and PubMed was made, and 24 articles were found that directed to the theme. Of these, only 8 were selected, being 16 excluded because they were duplicated or did not respond to the proposed objective. Eight articles were identified, of which five described the care and care of nursing professionals in the care and reception of women in situations of violence, two other articles described the main Repercussions due to aggressions suffered in women's lives, as well as the impact that this problem causes in their self-esteem, and an article portrays the knowledge of nursing, related to women's protection policies and the difficulties encountered By the professionals in putting them into practice of the samples obtained, an article in the year 2014, four in the year 2017 and three articles in the year 2018. This study demonstrates how the care and care of the nursing professional is performed in the face of victims of domestic violence, allowing further analysis of the impact of these aggressions on women's lives and reaffirming that this care Needs to be critical and reflective. From this perspective, it is verified that it can contribute to the improvement of nursing care aimed at women victims of domestic violence, taking into account that the theme is not so researched by these professionals. In general, the findings collaborate so that the scientific research line focused on the theme does not conclude the questions about the training of professionals in the face of the care and the welcoming of women victims of domestic violence in the services of Health, to offer them the proper humanization and care they deserve.
