Abstract:
The main objective in this paper is to identify if the sugarcane agroindustries in the
Goiás State are concerned and relating to Social and Environmental Responsibility.
For this purpose, a theoretical study was carried out to identify the Social and
Environmental Responsibility origin and evolution, aiming to show the relationship
between the theme and the research objective of the sugarcane agroindustries
characterization and, therewith, show its environmental, social and economic
impacts. The results demonstrated that the sugarcane agroindustries in Goiás are in
a very advanced stage in relation to the importance and practical implementation of
socially responsible actions. This paper also notes the crisis in the sucroalcohol
sector due to the coronavirus pandemic, which mainly affects agroindustries of
distillery, and which are the decisions that were made about the crisis that reached
the whole world.
