Abstract:
Objective: This study aims to analyze nutritional education strategies within the
school environment regarding eating disorders among adolescents in Brazil. This is a
literature review, searching for scientific evidence in the PubMed, LILACS, and
SciELO databases to identify strategies for health, food, and nutrition education
related to eating disorders in adolescents from middle and high school, between 12and 18 years of age. The research initially identified 16 articles, and after the
elimination process, 9 articles were selected for analysis. Results and discussion:
Thus, we can conclude that Nutritional Education has great potential to prevent and
reduce behaviors related to eating disorders among young people. However, it is still
necessary to increase the number of programs, test new approaches, and improve
existing practices.Relying on consistent, evidence-based educational actions can
strengthen efforts to combat eating disorders in Brazilian educational institutions,
ensuring a more positive and lasting effect on students' health.
