Abstract:
Considering that micro and small enterprise has an essential place in the market, playing an
important role in the economy, generating jobs and incomes, with duties similar to those of
large companies, they should be aware of the changes and ready to anticipate and adapt to
new challenges. Thus, the need to adopt a new attitude towards human capital arises, in order
to deal with these challenges that may arise in the future. This work intended to study,
identify, analyze and discuss the contributions that an HR professional could offer in
improving the management processes of people in a micro fabric retailer in the city of
Ituiutaba-MG. The exploratory research with the entrepreneur owner of this company, took
place on October 29, 2010, and was aimed at eliciting information about the processes of
personnel management at the company by comparing current practices to the theoretical
practices, to evaluate the different effects. The results showed that even towards the financial
limitations encountered in the micro enterprise, it is greatly important to insert procedures to
structure personnel management, due to difficulties therefore considered by the activity of the
active micro-enterprise that is retailer of fabrics, and in which the hand of work is very
specialized. Thus, the contribution that the Human Resources professional will provide will
be essential to improvements in the processes of personnel management of micro enterprise,
contributing to the success of the contributors and to the growth of the organization
