dc.description.abstract	The present study aims to analyze the role of nursing professionals in combating violence against the elderly in primary health care. Thus, it aims to establish the correlation between this professional and his social role in coping with the inequalities and violence suffered by the elderly. In the present study, an integrative literature review was formulated, which considered the following steps: identification of the theme and selection of the research question for the preparation of the integrative review, thus establishing inclusion and exclusion criteria of literature search with definitions of the information to be extracted from the selected studies. In addition, it can be concluded that the nursing professional should be increasingly trained to provide better care in the face of cases of violence against the elderly, and that their role in identifying and combating this practice is essential.	pt_BR

dc.description.resumo	O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar o papel do profissional de enfermagem frente ao combate da violência contra a pessoa idosa, na atenção primária à saúde. Dessa forma, visa estabelecer a correlação entre esse profissional e o seu papel social no enfrentamento às desigualdades e violências sofridas pelas pessoas idosas. No presente estudo formulou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura, onde foram consideradas as seguintes etapas: identificação do tema e seleção da questão de pesquisa para a preparação da revisão integrativa, estabelecendo assim critérios de inclusão e exclusão de busca na literatura com definições das informações a serem extraídas dos estudos selecionados. Ademais, pode-se concluir que o profissional de enfermagem deve se capacitar cada vez mais para proporcionar um melhor atendimento frente aos casos de violência contra a pessoa idosa, e que seu papel de atuação na identificação e combate dessa prática é essencial.	pt_BR
