Abstract:
The constant search for beauty standards is reflected in the dental office, by
increasingly whiter and extremely symmetrical teeth. However, it is essential that
health promotion is first returned through comprehensive treatment such as
adaptation to the oral environment until reaching aesthetic restorations. The present
article reports a clinical case of integral rehabilitation of the stomatognathic apparatus
involving different areas of dentistry, with the objective of elaborating a multidisciplinary planning, treatment, execution and transformation taking into
account the patient's expectations. In the initial stage of the present case, adequacy
to the oral environment was associated with scaling and smoothing sub and supra
gingival and oral hygiene guidelines, later, inclusion of procedures such as tooth
extraction 36 and direct restorations in composite resin in teeth 11, 12,21, 22, 35 and
47. Therefore, the importance of dental, rehabilitative, functional and aesthetic
treatment is emphasized here, knowing the beneficial psychosocial impact that this
change causes in a person's life.
