Abstract:
The study on the legal elements of the criminalization of child trafficking for the
purpose of organ removal in Brazil has been prompted due to the fact that this
practice violates human rights and puts financial gain ahead of the lives of innocent
people. The research's specific goals are to identify the importance of upholding the
laws currently in place to safeguard children, to learn how effectively the relevant
authorities are performing, and, through an analysis of recent cases in Brazil, to
develop a profile based on the characteristics of the children who are victims of this
illegal activity. It was possible to verify the disheartening truth of the lack of respect
for human dignity involving Brazilian children. In addition, it was observed that the
police's inaction in investigating crimes and providing the victims' families with a
suitable response, combined with the Brazilian judiciary's delays, clearly implies the
impunity of the offenders.
