Abstract:
The present monograph aims to present research in which women from ancient times suffer serious prejudices, devaluation and are constantly beaten and often by their own partners, boyfriends, fiancés, husbands, however for futile reasons, because nothing justifies an aggression. Over the years women have joined forces to fight against discrimination and especially against violence, so that the government offers them support to eradicate such a lack of protection. In 2006, the Maria da Penha Law was passed, which governs protection against domestic violence in the family. Even with the law in force, women are afraid to seek the police authorities because they are coerced or threatened by the aggressors. There is a flaw in the lack of incentives through technological resources and the media, and of course the lack of judicial protection to ensure the protection of women, since all such assaults usually results in homicides. The present study clearly presents all the historical aspects of advances and the lack of protection for women. In recent years, the theme of violence against women has brought debates, generating more public visibility. In order to help with incentives and in view of all that can be used to improve the applicability of the law, it has shown that this is up to us and the government and the judiciary. With this union of powers and stricter laws, there would be no such high levels of aggression against women.
